Hello and welcome to my website.
I have a passion for empowering people to see the 'bigger picture', to discover their own strength and ability to metamorphose into the person they want
to be.
I am a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Practitioner and a Life Coach, I have also completed courses in
Counselling and Neuro-Linguistic Programming. Workshops in Mindfullness, Law of Attraction and Public Speaking. I am also currently studying Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
When I was fourteen years of age I was hit by a car leaving me with some serious head injuries. The doctors said I would never regain full memory, will have difficulty retaining information and that I would never work or live independently without support. I proved them all wrong and I managed to sit all school exams and then attend college.
Despite the progress I made educationally I was unable to work full-time. Instead I volunteered for various companies such as a respite home for the disabled, The Princess Trust, a day centre for the vulnerably housed and various other organisations. After a few years volunteering, I was then able to work full time, so I joined a number of employment agencies and worked in an administrative capacity. Due to my experiences when volunteering I then chose to study Health and Social Care, which began my 20 years employment in the Healthcare Industry. I have gained extensive experience in supporting adults and young people in their daily lives, helping them build a better future for themselves. Having the experience of supporting adults in mental health, children in residential care, young offenders and those leaving care, I am able to bring the 'best out' in a person, boost self-worth, image and confidence, which leads to a more productive way of thinking and acting.
I currently work for a company that rehabilitates those with head and spinal injuries, and I am responsible for a number of staff teams supporting them to achieve their full potential, whilst managing their stress levels effectively and productively. I also volunteer for Anxiety UK and provide therapy for clients living with a variety of mental health issues.
